In the populations of low-middle-income countries, infectious diseases are among the main causes of mortality and morbidity.

Led by Paolo Bonfanti, the goal is to share policies to combat infectious diseases – particularly HIV infection, antimicrobial resistant pathogens and other emerging infectious diseases – through education, research and the development of clinical capacities.
