Impact Medicine is the Department of Medicine and Surgery’s Excellence Project for the five-year period 2023-27 and aims to realise our growth process by concentrating its activities in the Departmental Study Centre for Digital Medicine.
The Centre takes up the issue of digitalisation as a core to pursue the objectives of the project, consolidating research at a level of excellence and international competitiveness.
The common denominator of the project is the application of cutting-edge technologies related to digital pathology and molecular imaging (radiomics). Through technological and structural reinforcement, the centre aims to put at the service of patients platforms that have an impact on health needs directly perceived by the clinical world. In addition, the research scenario will be able to increase its multidisciplinary orientation by counting on core facilities, understood as human and equipment, transversal for different and complementary groups of researchers thanks to the integration of solid bioinformatics and biostatistical skills.
