Supporting pediatric nursing education in a district hospital Education as a strategy to enhance Health Outcomes in Children

The project seeks to provide bedside and long-term nursing education in pediatrics to support local staff in enhancing their knowledge/skills/processes, thus contribute to better health care and organizational management.

Clinical – analysis of the context with regard to pediatric services; understanding of the existing skills and role of the nurses; field shadowing of the staff; logistics & organizational aspects for sustainability & quality; better utilization of resources; improved maintenance of clinical documentation and recording of data.

Research – analysis of training needs; developing the training strategy & curriculum; training program implementation (distance learning, on-job, train the trainer); monitoring clinical outcomes related to nursing education.

All activities will be implemented in blended mobility format for cost-effectiveness and impact.
